Export & run locally

Download the project (or clone it from Git) and run it on your own machine. It is a normal Vite + React + TypeScript project: no Alloy account needed to keep building.

Requirements

  • Node.js 20 or newer (22 recommended)
  • npm 10+ (comes with Node)
  • Any editor: VS Code, Cursor, WebStorm…

Get the code

In the Studio click Download zip (Pro), or clone the repository you pushed with Manage Git:

git clone https://github.com/<you>/<repo>.git
cd <repo>

Install and run

npm install
npm run dev # start the dev server, usually http://localhost:5173
npm run build # production build into dist/
npm run preview # serve the production build locally

Environment variables

Websites usually need none. Apps with a backend ship an .env.example; copy it and fill in your own values:

cp .env.example .env
# edit .env: database URL, API base URL, secrets…

Project layout

src/
  components/ one folder per component (Name.tsx, .types.ts, .utils.ts, .consts.ts, index.ts)
  pages/ one folder per route
  i18n/ en.ts, he.ts, es.ts
  constants/ shared constants
  types/ shared types
  config/ navigation and site config

Keep building with AI tools

Open the folder in Cursor or Claude Code and keep going. When you push your changes to main, use Import changes from main in the Studio so your next Alloy prompt builds on them.
