Studio guide
The Studio is where a project lives after you generate it: preview, source, versions, SEO, Live and Git, all on one screen.
The tabs
| Tab | What it shows | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Preview | The rendered site, built from the real code | Free and Pro |
| Code | File tree and source of every file, with copy buttons | Pro |
| Live | Runs the project in an in-browser sandbox so you can click through it | Free and Pro |
| SEO | Title, description, keywords and social preview for the site | Free and Pro |
While it generates
Files stream in as alloy-1.5flash writes them. The progress bar shows the current stage (planning, writing files, checking, preview). Live starts running finished files before the whole project is done. If your connection blocks streaming, the Studio falls back to polling automatically.
Versions and fixes
- Type a follow-up in the revision box under the preview, for example "Add a pricing table".
- Each fix creates a new version; the previous ones are kept in the project history.
- Alloy edits only what you ask for and keeps everything else, so working features stay working.
- Versions imported from Git are labeled [external] so you can tell them apart.
Download and Git
On Pro, Download zip gives you the full project. Manage Git pushes it to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Once a project is linked, the button shows the repository name and the number of open pull requests. See Manage Git.
